The importance of Continued care
I spent a month in Haiti volunteering as a registered Nurse. The need there is great and while I have been able to see mass improvements there is still much work that needs to be done. I have had the privilege of working with some of the most compassionate people I have ever met, I have been inspired by the personal stories I encountered, I have been moved by the love I have seen and the resilience of the human spirit. I plan on returning within the next couple weeks.
The need for continuum of care is real and is now, just yesterday 2/15 i received word that a school turned hospital collapsed, a children's hospital was left unattended, and the rainy season is starting...
I am back down in Haiti and pledge to continue helping 110% for an undetermined amount of time. I miss all of you but know that i am doing what i am supposed to be doing.
